Guadalajara

November 16, 2005 8:24 am

This week (November 15-21) I am in the second largest city in Mexico. Guadalajara is the home of Missionaries Gary and Ann Layne. They are hosting a conference for Missionaries and Pastors who work with the Deaf in Mexico.

This is one of three meetings a year that we gather for. But with camp being canceled this summer, we have not been together since the Spring. This will be a week of encouragement and learning.

Thank you for your prayers as we strive together for the souls of the Deaf throughout the country.

I am serving as a missionary to the deaf at a school for the deaf in Baja California. I would like more information on your ministry and the conference for missionaries working with the deaf of Mexico.

Hi I have a question. Do you know if there are an Roman Catholic missionary groups that are also working with the Deaf in Guadalajara? Other then religious groups that are helping the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing is there any other organizations that are doing any work in or around Guadalajara? Because I have been trying to find groups in the city of Guadalajara and it has been a bit difficult to do so. If anyone reads this and knows any group (doesn’t matter if it comes from any faith group or non-religious group) please answer back! Because I have been wanting to do something for the Deaf Community in Guadalajara for many years now and I do not know anyone who might know of any group.

Thank you,

Pauline B.
